You might want to check out 148Apps. It is a site dedicated to iPhone OS app reviews and news. They do the work for you by keeping track of what's selling, new or what prices are dropping in the iTunes store.
Check out their 148 Free iPhone Apps list and 148 Free iPhone Games if you don't want to spend any money.
Why 148 by the way? It's the maximum number of applications you can install at once on your iPhone.

We're also coming out with our own Pinoy version called StoredApps.com. It will be ready on the 3rd week of October. The current look is just a placeholder as we finalize the design.
