Are paid posts also being affected by the economic crisis?

To all of you who do sponsored or paid posts I have a question. Do you think this form of advertisement is also affected by the economic crisis? Is it just me or is there lack of quality opportunities for paid posts?

sponsoredposts

I’m a member of a handful of such sites with SocialSpark and PayPerPost being the most reliable. However, I haven’t been able to write for SS for almost two months now due to lack of good opportunities. It’s always affiliate posts which I don’t think is worth my time. PayPerPost on the other hand has lots of opps but not really good ones.

What I mean by good opps are not those $3 for 200 words or $.50 for 50 words. What’s your minimum price by the way for doing paid reviews? I’m reluctant to touch those $5.00 (and below) for 200 words unless it’s interesting or in-line with what I usually write in my blog. How about you?

I just think that with the global economic crisis, companies needs to scrimp on advertisement so they have to go for alternative ways and one of those is via paid reviews. What do you think?

I guess the global economic crisis affects paid posting one way or another. I have noticed that the opps at PPP are getting cheaper, and like you, I miss those times when SS was so alive with opps. But I am surprised that other paid posting sites are thriving; SponsoredRevs is always full of opps and I always get opps there. Lately I was given a good opp by LinkWorth (I have yet to learn their other money making programs). BlogtoProfit is also good and very prompt when it comes to payment. BuyBlogReviews is also always full of opps (but these are $5 and below) and good for new bloggers.

I have noticed that there are fewer opps on some sites, so I guess this recession is affecting internet marketing as well. Thankfully, some of the paid-to-blog sites are still going strong.

Like what Pastilan mentioned, sometimes other paid review sites offer more opps. When PPP closed the door on me, SponsoredReviews offered me more opps.

I don't think the paid review trade affected the pricing of reviews. Other sites still offered the same pricing rates. PPP and SS opps are the only ones that suffered the price cut.
