Kodak Z18, HD video on a pocket camcorder

The Kodak Zi8 (often mistakenly called Z18) is one of the few pocket camcorders that can capture true 1080p HD video. Even Flip’s Ultra HD can only manage 720p.

kodak-zi8It’s design is based on Kodak’s first pocket cam, the Zi6. The Zi8 can accommodate up to 32GB SD/SDHC cards for up to 10 hours of video. It also has a microphone jack and an HDMI connection for HDTV viewing. It can also capture 5-megapixel 16:9 stills.

One of the cool thing about the Zi8 is its onboard software. Plug the device into your PC via USB and you can easily upload your videos on YouTube and Facebook.

The Kodak Zi8 HD Pocket Video Cameracomes in aqua, raspberry and black colors and is priced at $179.95.
