The Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid notebook is a first of its kind

In the world of laptops and notebooks, it’s difficult to see a feature that will make you go wow these days. That’s until I saw the new Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid notebook. Lenovo IdeaPad U1They call it a hybrid because aside from being a notebook, you can remove the 11.6 inch display and turn it into a multi-touch tablet. Each part has its own processor. When in tablet mode, it is powered by a Qualcomm ARM Snapdragon processor running a modded Linux OS. In notebook mode, a ULV Intel Core 2 Duo SU processor will be running Windows 7 Home Premium.

Not much details yet on how it will perform in real-life but it is said that the two parts can synchronize with each other and have the ability to share battery, internet and data.

Expect to to be available this June.

The Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid is a fascinating! Its textured surfaces on the inside and a shiny and translucent ruby lid give the machine an instantly eye-catching appeal. It makes us curious as to how delicate the procedure is and whether the laptop might accidentally disconnect under casual use,but the tablet screen feels solid and attractive on its own.
